Leticia Camacho

For more than thirty years, Leticia Camacho worked as a physician assistant, most of it in the operating room on spine cases. Looking for the next step, she wanted something she could bring her experience to grow into rather than retire from, and that's when she found aesthetic medicine. She started with one solo room in Woodbridge and opened Xthetics Med Spa in 2022. It's a full medical spa now, and the steady, precise hands she trained over three decades in surgery came right along with her.

What she brought that most injectors don't is an artist's eye, and she comes by it honestly: she's also a master cake decorator, still posting the occasional hobby piece under the Iinstagram handle @cakesurgeon. "Surgery by day, cakes by night," as she puts it. She looks at a face the way she looks at a canvas. "You're getting a person that actually sees the canvas and fixes the canvas," she says. The credentials back it up: AAOPM-certified in aesthetic medicine, a doctorate in healthcare education, and a second job training other injectors for Empire Medical Training.

Ask what she wishes people knew, and the answer is blunt. Not every injector is trained the same, and that's how people end up botched, so do your research and don't shop on price alone, because Groupon shoppers get Groupon results. She isn't a salesperson and won't push a treatment you don't need—each guest is given the treatment that is right for them. Most people who first come in for a deal end up staying as patients.

Leticia doesn't do anything halfway. For years she ran the spa on her days off from the hospital before going all in. She's there Monday through Saturday now, and people find her through search and word of mouth and come back because of the quality of service, expertise, and the way they're treated. She measures the work by whether the person in the chair trusts the hands doing it. Enhancing the beauty within you, as her tagline goes, is the whole point.
