What is Bergen Showcase?
Bergen Showcase is a place to discover and celebrate local businesses across Bergen County.
It’s where residents can learn about the people and companies that make our communities thrive — presented in their own words, with stories, photos, and links that help their work reach more people. Each listing gives local businesses a chance to be featured, described the way they want, and linked directly to their websites — helping them gain visibility in Google search and within the local community.
How does it work?
It’s simple!
If you’d like your business to be featured, just fill out our online form and schedule a quick 15-minute intake meeting. During that meeting, we’ll review your offerings, photos, and story together — and then we’ll publish your feature on BergenShowcase.com.
If you’d like to recommend another business, there’s a separate form for that too. Once we reach out and confirm their participation, they can complete their own brief intake and be featured just as easily.
Is this like Yelp, Patch, or Nextdoor?
Not really. Bergen Showcase isn’t a review platform or a social forum.
Unlike Yelp or national directories, we’re local through and through — run by and for the Bergen County community. We’re not about star ratings or endless comment threads; we’re about shining a light on the people and businesses that keep our towns vibrant.
In short: we’re a showcase, not a scoreboard. And we actually live here!

In a time when communities can feel distant or divided, Bergen Showcase was created to bring people closer together — to highlight the hard work, creativity, and excellence of the neighbors who make Bergen County special.
We believe that every great business has a story worth sharing. By telling those stories and celebrating what’s good in our backyard, we help strengthen the sense of pride and belonging that defines our county.
How can I get my business featured?
Just visit our Get Listed page and complete the quick online form. After that, you’ll be prompted to schedule a short intake session (about 15 minutes) to confirm your information, categories, and photos.
Once complete, your listing goes live — and your business becomes part of Bergen County’s local showcase.
How much does it cost to get my business featured?
Right now, it’s completely free.
During our launch phase — through December 2025 — all participating businesses will be recognized as part of our Founder Circle and featured at no cost.
After that period, we may introduce new pricing tiers for enhanced placements and premium visibility. But Founder Circle members will always retain their original benefits.
Can I recommend someone else’s business?
Absolutely — and we encourage it!
You can nominate another local business using our Recommend a Business form. Just share their name and contact info, and we’ll reach out to invite them for a short intake session.
We love when neighbors lift each other up — that spirit of generosity is exactly what Bergen Showcase is about.
How can I become or recommend a Featured Professional?
Featured Professionals are trusted local experts — from realtors and designers to instructors, stylists, and service providers.
You can apply directly or recommend someone using the same process as business listings: fill out the form, complete a short intake, and provide any professional links, headshots, or stories you’d like included.
Featured Professionals may rotate weekly or monthly depending on demand.

What does it mean to be a “Verified” business?
A Verified business has been personally reviewed by our team.
That means we’ve confirmed key details — that the business is active, legitimate, and providing the services it claims. Often, we’ve also met or spoken directly with the owner or staff.
The Verified badge simply means: we’ve checked, and you can trust them.
How does the Sweepstakes work?
Our first Bergen Showcase Sweepstakes will launch in December 2025, with opportunities to win local gift cards and prizes. We plan to start small — giving away gift certificates from featured businesses — and grow from there.
Over time, we’ll expand into fun community programs like trophies, “Local Legend” awards, and other special recognitions. Some prizes will come from our partners, others from featured businesses themselves.
